Did you ever have a moment where you realized that the way you thought you were headed, and thought you wanted to go, wasn’t what you really wanted anymore? Or did you suddenly realize that you weren’t even sure which way you wanted to go anymore? Are you confused? So am I. SO AM I!
Maybe it’s the weather, or maybe it’s just the mindless scrolling and reading of a billion different topics that all seem to interest me, yet at the same time don’t. I find it very hard to focus at times. I see too many shiny objects that I want to play with. I started this blog last year to share my photographs and my thoughts from where I am. Sometimes I feels like I need to narrow things down to just sharing things about where I live, but then I also want to share other things I like.
I like different types of books and movies and subjects. I am forever a student. Always wanting to learn something new. So you will probably see many different thoughts come tumbling out of my head and into my blog posts. I have read six books so far this year and almost finished my seventh. All of different topics. I will share them in my next blog post along with some pretty macro flower shots I am working on with flowers I told my husband he was getting me for Valentine’s Day. LOL You are seeing just a few of the many pictures I have taken so far. It’s a sneak peek just for you. I usually don’t ask for flowers but I have been wanting to take pictures of something other than snow. And when Valentine’s Day comes around, there are lots of flowers to choose from!
Speaking of Valentine’s Day… here are some Valentine type place names of various communities within this beautiful province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Cupids (NL)
- Cupids Crossing (NL)
- Diamond Cove (NL)
- Flowers Cove (NL)
- Heart’s Content (NL)
- Heart’s Delight (NL)
- Heart’s Desire (NL)
- L’Anse Amour (Labrador) means Love Cove
- Little Heart’s Ease (NL) just 5 minutes away from me
- Sweet Bay
I’m also throwing in:
- Bacon Cove (NL) because I LOVE bacon; and
- Coffee Cove (NL) because I really LOVE coffee!!
I love to take pictures of many different things. You can probably see that if you check out my Instagram account (click the little square Instagram symbol at the bottom of the page). I like landscapes and nature, close up(macro), lifestyle, people, travel (although we don’t travel far). And these probably all overlap in some way as well. Whatever interests me in the moment I will take a picture of. Such as a Canadian Coast Guard ship, some wooden coloured leads, or flowers. A moment that you can try to replicate but That Day, That Hour, That Minute. That Second. Is gone forever. But you can capture it in a photo. Pretty deep right?
But I guess that’s who I am. A lover of many things! Therefore a picture taker of many things! And, I suppose, a writer of many things. I’m not perfect. I can spend an hour photographing something and hate every photograph. I can sit down for hours to write something and delete it all because I don’t think it worth anyone’s time to read it. I’m always trying to make it just a little bit better. But, as the saying goes, done is better than perfect.
So, I guess today, I’m just stopping by to say hey! I’m still here. You’re still here. And hopefully we will both be back again next week. ☺ I’m really going to try and get another blog post up next Sunday/Monday. It’s time for me to get my stuff in gear and write more. Write more, photograph more, and read more. And drink more coffee. Repeat as necessary. I need my own thoughts instead of being bombarded by the events of the world. I need to feel more at peace and I’m sure many of you do as well. Coffee, books/writing and photography. That’s what I need. Well, that and my family and friends, of course. What do you need to find your peace? Feel free to comment below. You can also like my post or share it. Or not. It’s totally up to you. I just like knowing there are others out there like me. Until next time, enjoy the view from where I am…
