This blog has been a long time coming. At least a year ago I said I was going to start a blog. I had no idea what it was going to be about; no idea at all. I just knew that I had a voice for something and it wanted to speak. Every time I read an inspirational post, it sent me signals that it was time. But still I resisted. I wasn’t ready. It had to be perfect before I let the world (or one or two friends) see it. But there is no such thing as perfect. I’m never going to be totally ready. There will always be some reason to put it on the back burner. Make it seem less important than everything else.
Then, a little over a month ago, I read a Facebook post Kris Windley of With a K Writing shared that kind of smacked me in the face. It was about pretty notebooks; and I love notebooks! I commented to her that I loved one notebook in particular because there was a beautiful picture of a tree on the cover. It must be the photographer in me, I said. She replied, “Do you keep photo-journals?” That’s when it hit me! A PHOTO-BLOG! So, here I am, standing (well sitting actually) before you, asking you politely to have a look. I have added a few photos to my blog; but there will be many, many more. I know its not perfect. But its a start. I’m doing it, and that’s what matters. It’s not perfect, but that’s okay.
Why don’t you grab a cup of coffee, tea, or whatever you prefer, stay and have a chat (if you like) and take a look at the view from where I am.
You’re photography is beautiful ~ Mary
Thank you so much Mary!
Congratulations on your new endeavor! I look forward to reading and seeing more.

Thank you Mrs. Laite! I appreciate your kind words.
Shelly, I LOVE the view from where you are. I saw your post in Raise Your Hand, Say Yes clicked on your link and landed on your page that literally took my breath away. It is powerful and stunning. You have a great eye. And, by the way, I can’t imagine how you could have made your debut better. It is firing on all cylinders. It clearly shows your love for your life and what could be better than that.
Thank you SO MUCH Mary Ann. I really do appreciate the kind words. They mean a lot.
I’m so happy for you and your new blog 🙂 I still fight resistance on mine, but I try to keep going anyway.
Thank you Allison. Just keep pushing on through. I was for so long just terrified to make my blog live, but then I thought, what’s the worst that could happen really?
What a great idea Shelly, I love your photos.
Thank you Kim!! I have had this idea in my head for a while now. Finally decided to let it out. LOL
